Sistem Informasi Web Geografis untuk Layanan Monitoring Kondisi Jalan di Kecamatan Padang Barat Kota Padang

Abstract
Road Infrastructure condition in Padang city could be assumed as relatively rough. Every year
the central government and regional government have budget funds for the roads refinement.
Rough road condition, rough management and maintenance of road have a significantly bad
impact for the quality of land transportation. Due to this matter, Geographic Information System
as a system that could be used as monitoring service system resolves problem regarding to road
condition in Padang. By using Geographic Information System the data could be served in colors
systems to inform the road condition such as, using green for stable condition, blue for average,
orange for light damage and red for serious damage. In addition, Geographic Information System
also serves the information of length, width and condition of the roads. In it’s design, this web is
designed by using programing language system (PHP), and using MySQL database. Geographic
Information System also using Google Maps API, which has the capacity to provide and display
the information in a map form. The method that used in this testing process using black box
taken from the result of 25 preceding testing program modules, which 22 of them are succeed
and 3 are failed with result in percentage of 88%. From those research could be concluded that
by using Geographic Information System the officer of PUPR and the society could be
monitoring and knowing the condition of road in digital map.
