Perancangan Pelacak Cahaya Matahari untuk Panel Surya di Desa Muara Sikabaluan Kecamatan Siberut Utara Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai
ABSTRAK
People's need for electrical energy is getting bigger along with the development of technology and population. To meet this increasing demand, it is necessary to develop energy resources. Solar energy is an effective sustainable natural resource, because of its existence, availability, and sustainability, which are adequate and free from pollution. Solar energy can be used to produce electrical energy by using solar panels.
Many have used solar panels as a necessity for electric current, but of course there is still a static position that makes solar panels ineffective in getting sunlight which will become the electric current used, so that so that the solar panels continue to oppose the sun's light, automatic motion is needed, so when the sun moves, the solar panels can continue to follow automatically.
The purpose of this research is to make a solar panel controller that can move in the direction of the sun's light, so that the position of the solar panel is always facing the sun's rays, which makes solar panels store more solar energy as a community need in using electrical energy. To rotate the solar panel using a screw iron that uses a nut to connect it to the solar panel, the motor used is a Stepper Motor, to program the movement 20 minutes using the A4988 Stepper Motor Driver, while to program the time, temperature, degrees, hours, years, days using the RTC DS-3231 displayed on the YB-1604B's LCD screen. With this tool, solar panels can be more effective in getting sunlight which will become an electric current. All the tools used are connected to the Arduino uno microcontroller.
