Pengaruh Penggunaan Limbah Reruntuhan Bangunan Sebagai Pengganti Agregat Kasar Terhadap Kuat Tekan Beton Normal
ABSTRACT
Concrete is a material that is widely used in construction projects. The quality of concrete itself is strongly influenced by several constituent materials such as water, cement, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate and other additives. This easily available concrete-forming material is the main target for excessive natural resource mining, resulting in a decrease in the amount of available natural resources, the widespread use of concrete and the increasing scale of development, so this study aims to examine the use of concrete waste as a substitute for coarse aggregate using the Doe and SNI 03-2847-2013 Regarding Concrete. Concrete waste in the form of waste that comes from demolition of building construction. Visually, waste concrete is a hard material like aggregate, but whether waste concrete also has characteristics equivalent to aggregate. The purpose of this study was to identify the use of building rubble as a substitute for coarse aggregate and its effect on the compressive strength of normal concrete (K-175).
In this study using an experimental method carried out in a laboratory which aims to investigate data or results that relate certain variables. The material used is building debris with variations in the amount of 0%, 50% and 100%, using a compressive strength test equipment at the Laboratory of the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning of West Sumatra Province on March 16, 2022
The results showed that the compressive strength of normal concrete K-175 was 162.2 kg/cm2, for a mixed concrete of 50% of building rubble waste was 191 kg/cm2 and for a mixed concrete of 100% of building rubble was 158.7 kg/cm2. which means that the compressive strength value has reached and even exceeded the limit of the compressive strength value at the age of 3 days of concrete of 113.8 kg/cm2. The value of the compressive strength of concrete with a mixture of building rubble waste as much as 50% increased from normal concrete of 28.8 kg/cm2, and for concrete with a mixture of building rubble waste as much as 100% decreased from normal concrete compressive strength of 3.5 kg/cm2 but the value of the compressive strength is still above the value of the normal concrete compressive strength of K-175 for the age of 7 days. This shows that the more building debris added to the concrete mixture, the compressive strength value of the concrete obtained will be smaller than the planned normal concrete compressive strength.
