Kajian Jenis Briket Biomassa dari Produksi Mesin Cetak Briket Sistem Rotary Press Berbahan Serat Alam
ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the type of biomass briquettes used by using different types of fiber materials, namely coconut fiber, areca fiber, and TKKS fiber. By adding starch adhesive, using a composition of 70% fiber and 30% starch adhesive. Based on the quality of the biomass briquettes produced from these three types of briquettes, which one gives the best results. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the water content obtained in coconut fiber was 7,62 %, in areca fiber 6,81 %, and in TKKS fiber 6,28%. The burning rate for coconut fiber is 0,4 g/minute, areca fiber 0,39 g/minute, and TKKS fiber is 0,95 g/minute. Ash content in coconut fiber is 7,30 %, areca nut fiber is 8,71 %, and TKKS fiber is 6,78 %. The best quality of briquettes is obtained from TKKS fiber where the water content produced is 6,28 %, the combustion rate is 0.95 g/minute, the ash content is 6,78 %
