ABSTRACT

Drainage has a function to reduce or dr water in an area so that an area can avoid the problem of flooding. One ofas in the city of Padang that often experiences flooding is the area of Mau Patlun, District of Nanggalo, the city of Padang, this happens because of the hirsity of rain and the condition of the existing channels in the area and the condition of one of the existing channels is inadequate so it is necessary to evaluate the network system. drainage in the area. For the area's maximum rainfall, the Algebraic average method is used and for the calculation of the planned rainfall, a 10-year return period is used using the Gumbel method. Intensity calculation using the mononobe method, and based on the calculations carried out, the dimensions of the channel are obtained, namely in the secondary channel segment 2-3 with a channel base width (B)=0.40 m and a cross sectional height (h)-0.45 m with a rectangular cross-section
