ABSTRACT

Water is one of the energy sources that we can use, one of which is for power generation, Indonesia is rich in water resources very effective and has the potential to be developed, one of the efforts made to utilize er resource is the construction of a Power Plant. Micro Hydro (PLTMH) in Jorong Beruang Nagari Kajai, West Pasaman, West Sumatra, this PLTMH will later help distribute electricity to people's homes so that the electricity supply is evenly distributed in each area. Muck, namely (Q-0.68 m³/sec), Determination of turbine classification based on falling Flow, and specific speed (Ns), with the design discharge obtained from the analysis is (Q-338.18 m³/sec), for construction from the PLTMH itself, the height of the weir crest is 4 m with an effective width of 35 m, the water level upstream of the weir is +356.741 m, the water level downstream of the weir is +353,499 m, and the elevation at the bottom of the swimming pool is + 376,100 m, Intake has two doors with a width (2 m) and an opening height of 1.68 m, a flow rate of 1,452 m/sec, and a carrier channel (width - 0.742), a tranquilizer (Width 3 m and length 30 m) height of water fall -79.55 m, the type of turbine used is Pelton which from the calculation results generates 423.53 kw of electrical energy which can accommodate as many as 470 houses with a minimum power of 900 w.
