Analisa Endapan Sedimen Pada Belokkan Sungai Akibat Perubahan Debit (Studi Kasus : Sungai Batang Kuranji Di Jembatan Siteba Kecamatan Nanggalo, Kota Padang Sumatera Barat
ABSTRACT
The Batang Kuranji River as one of the major rivers in the city of Padang is a river that has many meanders (turns). Such river morphological conditions tend to result in the flow of water that occurs leading to certain areas on the outer side of the bend. The analysis with the title "Analysis of Sediment Deposits on River Bends Due to Changes in Discharge", has a problem formulation of How much discharge and changes in water discharge and What is the Volume of Sediment on the Batang Kuranji River, Padang City, West Sematera. The purpose of this analysis is to find the results of changes in water discharge and sediment volume due to flood discharge in the Batang Kuranji river, Padang City, West Sumatra.
This analysis uses the Hasper, Rational method and uses the Poter-Meyer-Muller method to achieve the final results of this analysis. With Primary data obtained directly and Secondary data that already exists in related journals. The theoretical basis used is Hydrology and River Hydraulics.
According to the analysis that has been carried out, it is concluded that the water discharge that is close to the average for the 20 year return period is 238,81 m3/s. And from the results of the analysis also obtained the results of the Sediment Volume of 981.11 m3/one flood, with a sediment concentration of 0.000077. From this data, visual data was obtained, namely the occurrence of silting and also the buildup of some rivers being turned, so it can be recommended to do normalization as a solution to this problem.
