ABSTRACT

Damage to the road causes discomfort and is dangerous to drive, such as damage to Jl. Lintas Padang - Alahan Panjang which is a Primary Collector road that connects the Provincial Capital to the Regency/Municipal City. Damage to the road can hamper the function of the road so it must be addressed immediately by making repairs to the damage that occurs. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of damage and the causes of road damage and how to overcome them.

The 2017 Road Pavement Design Manual (MDP Road, 2017) is the method that will be used in this study as the main reference, besides that several other methods will be used such as the 1990 Bina Marga method used as an analysis of road damage, and determining the CBR value from the DCP test, and The 1995 Bina Marga Standard Repair method was used to repair road damage before overlaying, and for the overlay design the 1987 Component Analysis and MDP Road 2017 methods were used.

Based on the analysis, the total number of damage was 17 so that the Priority Sequence value (UP=927) with a routine maintenance program. The calculation of the CBR value is 3.625% and the DDT value is 4.105. For road repairs before the overlay refers to the 1995 Bina Marga Standard Repair method. The overlay thickness design with the 1987 Component Analysis method obtained 10 cm thick overlay with Laston material while the results from 2017 Road MDP obtained 10 cm thick overlay with normal AC BC or AC BC material modification, so that the overlay solution used the results of the 2017 Road MDP.
