ABSTRACT
According to the West Sumatra Public Housing Public Planning (PUPR) in 2019, the city of Padang experienced a significant increase in the transportation sector. One of the reasons for the increase is the number of tourist attractions in the West Sumatra area, especially the city of Padang, as well as the increasing regional economy. Therefore, the government builds toll roads for the sake of smoothness and convenience and accelerates travel transportation. Because toll roads are expressways and need good planning for the long term for the next 40 years. In planning the rigid pavement design manual, there are several methods that are widely used but there are 2 methods that are most often used in the construction of toll roads, namely the 2017 Bina Marga Method and the 1993 AASTHO Method. In this evaluation the author only compares 2 methods that are often used, namely "Bina Marga 2017 and AASTHO1993" and, Costs are used in rigid pavement. The purpose of this research is to determine the rigid pavement thickness required budget plan. By using primary and secondary data obtained and the work steps that have been determined by MKJI. Then the pavement thickness is obtained for the 2017 Highways (32cm) and AASTHO (28cm) Methods. With a cost per 1 KM, the 2017 Bina Marga Method (Rp. 6,678.069,578) and AASTHO 1993 (Rp. 9,265,058,478) with a review of STA 0+000 to STA 4+000, For the 2014 Bina Marga total (RP 37,060,233.910) and AASTHO (Rp.26,712,278,710).
