ABSTRACT

Concrete is a mixture of cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and water then hardens to form solid objects. Concrete has strong compressive properties. The selection of materials in the manufacture of concrete is very important to get the value of the compressive strength of concrete. To find out what the best percentage of bendrat wire fiber is to obtain the maximum compressive strength and split tensile strength of concrete, a study was carried out using a mixture of bendrat wire fibers with a percentage of 0%, 1.5%, 2%, and 2.5% compressive strength and split tensile strength, with cylindrical specimens with a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 30 cm as many as 48 samples. The compressive strength of 3 days is 12 samples, the compressive strength of concrete 28 was 12 samples, the split tensile strength for 3 days was 12 samples, and the split tensile strength for 28 days was 12 samples. Tests carried out consist of compressive strength and split tensile strength, unmixed concrete and concrete that has been mixed with the percentage of bendrat wire The test results show that the addition of bendrat wire is very effective for mixing concrete. It can be seen that the higher the percentage addition of bendrat wire, the compressive strength and tensile strength of the concrete increase
